On December 12, 2020, the parking lot of the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center will be transformed into an interactive winter wonderland that can be enjoyed all from the comfort of your car. The drive-through experience will include all the magic of winter, music, snow, elves, and of course the guest of honor, Santa Claus.
Visitors will experience the magic of the holiday season as the Cultural Arts Center Foundation volunteers bring Santa’s workshop to Simi Valley. They’ll drive through the joyous scenery in the North Pole, wave hello to Santa’s elves, see live performers, and get ready for a photo with the big man himself, Santa.Santa will stand next to visitors’ cars for souvenir photos, to maintain social distance and safety. Photos will be sent directly to visitors for the whole family to enjoy.
“Everyone needs a little extra holiday cheer this year, and a safe way to enjoy holiday traditions, like seeing Santa. And where better than at the beautiful and historical Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center?” said Greg Sefain. Sefain is a Board Member of the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center Foundation, and the Chair of the Program Committee, which came up with the concept.
The cost is $30 per car, which includes the experience, photo with Santa, and all ticket fees. All proceeds will go to the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center Foundation. “We’ve been delighted by the overwhelming enthusiasm for this project with both the support of the city and our Simi Valley community,” he said. “Everyone is pitching in, from individuals to local organizations and businesses.
