The Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center Foundation, in partnership with the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center, is proud to present the 2nd Annual Hispanic Heritage Festival, a free, community-wide event celebrating the rich traditions, contributions, and artistic expressions of Latino and Indigenous communities. On Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the Festival invites attendees of all ages to gather in the heart of Simi Valley to experience an uplifting day of culture, history, and community. “Our 2nd Annual Hispanic Heritage Festival will offer Simi Valley residents and surrounding communities an opportunity to come together to enjoy a free, family-friendly event that appreciates and showcases a vibrant blend of Latino and Indigenous cultures,” said Gina Truncale, President of the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center Foundation.

Festival Highlights

  • Artisan Marketplace—Featuring 65+ Latino artisan, sponsors and nonprofit vendors, the marketplace will allow attendees to explore and purchase handcrafted art, jewelry, textiles, and culturally inspired goods. This element of the festival spotlights and supports small businesses and local makers.

  • Live Music & Dance Performances - Cultural performances will include a Mariachi band, and a live DJ and dance music for the public. All entertainment is free of charge and staged outdoors for maximum accessibility.

  • Latin Cuisine - Local vendors will offer authentic dishes and regional flavors from across Latin America, highlighting the diversity and richness of Latino gastronomy.

  • Visual Art Exhibition - Curated by Andrea Ramirez “Mixteca” and Liliaflor (Lilia Ramirez) of Los Angeles, a group art exhibit, which will present works from celebrated Latino and Indigenous artists.

  • Film Festival & Talkbacks - Curated by Jessica Greco, this film series will explore the themes of Resilience, Hope, and Family Unity through culturally significant short films. Screenings will take place inside the Cultural Arts Center theater and include director talkbacks following each viewing block.

  • Historical Exhibition & Storytelling - In partnership with the Simi Valley Historical Society, a special exhibition will feature photographs and narratives chronicling Latino and Indigenous communities' enduring legacy and contributions throughout Simi Valley’s history.
